Arrow keys move. Space cycles a cell between empty, crossed out and star. X crosses out, Enter places a star, Backspace clears. Hold Shift with an arrow to cross out as you move.

How to play

  1. Place one star in every row, every column and every constellation (the outlined areas).
  2. Stars never touch, not even at a corner.
  3. Tap once to cross out, twice for a star. Drag to cross out several cells.

Every sky has exactly one answer, and you can always reach it by reasoning; no guessing needed.

Agent mode plain-text puzzle for AI agents

This is the same puzzle as plain text. An agent can read the block below, or load this page with ?format=text (or ?format=json), and answer with the column of the star in each row, top to bottom.

In the browser, window.asterism.text() returns the puzzle and window.asterism.submit("2 4 1 …") checks an answer. Agent solves are recorded separately from human ones.

How to play

One per line. Every row and every column holds exactly one star.
One per constellation. Each outlined area holds exactly one star.
Room to shine. Stars never touch, not even diagonally.

Controls

Hints never guess: each one shows the simplest step that logic forces from where you are. A new daily sky arrives at midnight in New York. The week ramps from a quick 6×6 on Monday to a 9×9 on Saturday.
